Programme: Hořice Passion and compositions by Jaroslav Krček

First officially recorded in 1802, the Easter Passion in Hořice na Šumavě probably has its roots in a much older tradition. In 1816, the tragedy Suffering and Death of our Lord Jesus Christ by Paul Gröllhesl, a local weaver, was first performed here, and the creative tradition of Bohemian Passion plays has survived the two centuries until their revival by the legendary Musica Bohemica.
